Lots of you have played PC games, but have you ever wondered what does ripped games mean? Maybe you have or maybe haven't. If you do not know what it means then no worries, I have also inquired a lot of people what it is during my gaming days. But it does not mean that
I do not play games now. I still love games. Enough of goof-talking, today I am about to share my knowledge about what I know about a RIP game.
Rip means a copy of the genuine game which is copied illegally. Often an installed game is converted into a RIP game. The game might be the same but it will not be the original version. Highly compressed, repacked, ripped are almost the same thing.
You might like Rip games because it is small in size and takes less time to download. But believe me if you come to know what the reality lies behind this size cut, you will might not like them anymore.
In a Rip game the ripper [The person who rips game] removes some part of the game to make the game smaller. He/She might cut down some levels/missions to reduce the size or he/she might lower the video quality or delete some sequence videos. He may also do some modifications in the audio files too. So you might not get to play the full version of the game.
But nowadays, all the ripper teams have been facing a competition in themselves. Every team wants to prove themselves better. So they do not really cut one or two missions to reduce the size. Because people might no more like their RIP's and they may lose their popularity.But some times they remove multi-language files from games. That means they might remove all other audio language except English from the game.
After knowing these factors you might feel that you would never play these games, and some might still like them. But I personally recommend to go and buy a original copy of the game if you really wanna play full game. If you do not want to spend your money then you can download games repacked by "Blackbox" and "R.G.Mechanics". They might please you with their RIP's.
